National Award-winning choreographer Saroj Khan has breathed her last on Friday morning in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest. The 71-year-old veteran was admitted to the Guru Nanak Hospital on June 17 after complaining of breathing issues. According to her nephew Manish Jagwani, she passed away at around 2:30 am in the hospital. In an illustrious career spanning for over four decades, Saroj Khan composed dance for close to 2000 songs in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other Indian languages.

. His dance moves in the film were composed by Saroj Khan and taking to social media, the Stylish Star of Telugu cinema paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary choreographer.
Terming her as his first choreographer, the 37-year-old actor wrote in his post “Saroj Ji ! A Legendary choreographer no more . She was my 1st choreographer ever in the movie “ DADDY “ . I have always admired her incredible body of work . A precious & a irreplaceable jewel in Indian Cinema.” He offered deepest condolences to all her near and dear ones.

Telugu films

which include Devi Putrudu, Daddy, Takkari Donga, Anji, Subhash Chandra Bose and Aata. She won the Nandi Award for ‘Oh Mariya’ song in Choodalani Vundi (1998) starring Chiranjeevi and Soundarya. She won the National Award three times for Devdas, Sringaram and Jab We Met.
