'Robinhood' makers unveil first look of David Warner marking his Indian cinema debut

Nithiin and Sreeleela starrer 'Robinhood' is gearing up for its release and this heist comedy entertainer is directed by Venky Kudumula. The movie features a special cameo by former Australian cricketer David Warner.

Known for his aggressive batting and on-field leadership, Warner's entry into Indian cinema marks a significant crossover. The makers recently shared a poster of Warner, announcing his introduction to Indian cinema with 'Robinhood'. The poster reads, "After shining and leaving a mark on the ground, it is time for him to shine on the silver screen Introducing the widely loved @davidwarner31 to Indian Cinema with #Robinhood in an exciting cameo GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON MARCH 28th."

'Robinhood' tells the story of Honey Singh, played by Nithiin, a daring thief who steals from the rich to give to the poor, much like the classic legend of Robin Hood. His character is fearless and bold, taking on challenges for the right price. Sreeleela stars as the female lead, while veteran actors Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore play key supporting roles.

The soundtrack for 'Robinhood' is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, known for his impactful music in Tamil cinema. The film's theatrical trailer is set to release soon as David Warner is also expected to join the film's promotions.

The makers recently released the song 'Surprise' featuring Ketika Sharma and the track became an instant hit.

While speaking to Hindustan times, director Venky Kudumula shared that he always envisioned someone special for the cameo role. He said, "From the point I wrote this cameo, I knew I wanted someone special. It is a very important role, and when I shared with my actors and producer that David is on my mind, they were very excited, and we went ahead with it."

The movie will be released on March 28th.
