Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra-starrer 'Saakini Daakini', has been one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The Sudheer Varma directorial is finally out in theatres with mixed reviews from the audience. For the unversed, 'Saakini Daakini' is a remake of the South Korean movie 'Midnight Runners'.
'Saakini Daakini', which also stars Johnson D M, Lahari Shari and Rajiv Kumar Aneja, has been backed by D Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati under the banner of Suresh Production in collaboration with Kross Pictures. Nivetha and Regina can be seen playing the trainee cops in the movie, which revolves around how these trainee cops sort out a girl kidnap case on their own without any help. The film has Santhosh Mikey McCleary’s music, Richard Prasad‘s cinematography and Viplav Nyshadam’s editing. Gandhi Nadikudikar is the art director of the movie.
As per the reviews, a lot of changes were made to the screenplay of the original version. The directors have succeeded in bringing the film to Telugu nativity.
