After the super success of films like 'Baahubali' and 'RRR', Tollywood seems to be enjoying a top spot as several A-list Bollywood actors are working as antagonists in some of the anticipated Telugu films. Etimes has compiled a list of those actors who have locked horns with the protagonist in Tollywood films.

‘Saindhav’ is a 2023 action thriller flick that is written and directed by crime thriller maker Sailesh Kolanu. The film stars Tollywood’s leading star, Venkatesh Daggubati, in the lead role. Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing an antagonist role in the film that also stars Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, and Andrea Jeremiah in other important roles.

‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ is an upcoming Telugu period action-adventure drama film that is written and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The film, which is said to depict the legendary outlaw, Veera Mallu of the 17th century, will have Bobby Deol playing a key role in the film.

Arjun Rampal, an Indian actor, model, film producer, and TV personality, will soon be seen as an antagonist in Balakrishna’s Tollywood film ‘NBK108’. The film is being directed by Anil Ravipudi and will also reportedly star Kajal Aggarwal, Sree Leela, Priyanka Jawalkar, and Trisha Krishnan, who will play other important roles in the film.

‘Adipurush’ is an epic mythological film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film is written and directed by Om Raut as a bilingual film that stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, Kriti Sanon, and Devdatta Nage in key roles. Saif Ali Khan will be seen on the Telugu screen opposite Prabhas as Raavan in the film.

This will be the first straight and true Tollywood debut for Saif Ali Khan in Telugu cinema, as he will be playing the antagonist in the action film titled ‘Devara’. The film is said to be a period-action film written and directed by Kortala Siva that will have its music composed by Anirudh Ravi Chander. JrNTR will play the dual roles of Devara and his son, Jr.Devara. While Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is also making her Tollywood debut.

The recently released action spy thriller Telugu film ‘Agent," which is by Vakkantham Vamsi and directed by Surender Reddy, also had Malayalam superstar Mammootty playing an important role in it. The film featured Bollywood actor Dino Morea (in his Telugu debut) as a lead antagonist, adding another handsome and happening Bollywood actor acting in a Telugu film.

Sujeeth, who made his Bollywood directional debut with ‘Sahoo’, is next coming up with ‘OG’, an upcoming Telugu action thriller film that has Pawan Kalyan playing the lead role while Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Shreya Reddy, and others play other important roles in the film. The film will have Emraan Hashmi making his Telugu acting debut, and he will be reportedly playing the badass antagonist in the film.

Pawan Kalyan, who recently shifted his base to Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh, will be working with yet another Hindi actor, Vikram Jeet Virk, who will play an important role in Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’. The upcoming Telugu period action-adventure drama film directed by Krish Jagarlamudi is said to depict the legendary outlaw Veera Mallu of the 17th century and will also have Bobby Deol playing the head antagonist in the film.

‘Ahimsa’ is a 2023 Telugu film that tells the story of a youngster who follows the path of non-violence, but finally, he has to revolt aggressively to get justice for his family. Bollywood actor Rajat Bedi plays the key role of Dusyanth Rao in the film that debuts Abhiram Daggubati and Geethika Tiwary in Tollywood in lead roles, and the film will be releasing in theatres in Telugu states soon.
