Samantha Akkineni reacts on Radha Ravi’s misogynistic remarks against Nayanthara

During the trailer launch of ‘Kolaiyuthir Kaalam’, veteran Kollywood actor and DMK member Radha Ravi made some derogatory comments on the film’s lead actress Nayanthara in her absence. Since then on, he has been facing an immense backlash from all quarters which includes film and political personalities as well.
The potty mouth and everyday misogynist said “Nayanthara acts as a ghost, and then she goes on to act as Sita as well.Earlier, to play the role of a goddess, they would look for [someone like] KR Vijaya. Now, anyone can be cast to play a goddess. We can cast those who are respected and those who sleep around!”
Popular female singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripaada was among the first celebrities to call out Radha Ravi's insensitive comments on Nayanthara. A few months ago, Chinmayi was banned from the TN Dubbing Union headed by Radha Ravi after she spoke out against lyricist Vairamuthu for sexual harassment.
Along with her, popular Telugu actors like Samantha and Rana Daggubati have also commented on his misogynistic remarks. In her latest tweet, the Akkineni daughter-in-law said, “Sighhh Mr.Radha Ravi the struggle to stay relevant . You’re a sad man and we all feel sorry for you . May your soul or whatever is left of it find peace . We ll send you tickets for Nayanthara’s next superhit film .. have some popcorn and take a chill pill.” Rana also followed her with his tweet.
