Oh Baby
’. Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the comedy-drama is the remake of
South Korean
blockbuster ‘
Miss Granny
’ which showcases the story of a 70-year-old grandma who magically finds herself in the body of her 20-year-old self after clicking a picture in a mysterious studio.
Samantha would be playing a never-seen-before role in her career and will be sharing screen-space with
veteran actress Lakshmi
. Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old daughter-in-law of the Akkineni clan shared her experience on the first day of shoot for ‘Oh Baby’.
Sam revealed how she was trying to mimic the legendary actress by observing her. She has reportedly played the younger version of Lakshmi in the film which features an ensemble star cast like
Naga Shaurya and
Rao Ramesh.
The fun-filled teaser has already caught the attention of everyone and going by the trade, there are huge expectations on this female-centric film. Meanwhile, 2019 started off on a positive note for Samantha with consecutive superhits like ‘Super Deluxe’ and ‘Majili’.
