Samantha Ruth Prabhu on embracing motherhood: Always wanted to be a mother

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the lead role in the recently released, 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', directed by Raj & DK. Starring alongside Varun Dhawan, the series has received a positive response from viewers. Fans have also expressed the on-screen chemistry between Samantha and her young co-star, Kashvi Majmundar, who plays her daughter, Nadia.

In a recent interaction at an event, Samantha was asked about her connection with Kashvi and whether she misses being a mother. She expressed that she still dreams of motherhood and believes it’s not too late for her to achieve that dream.

"I have always wanted to be a mother. It's quite a beautiful experience. I am looking forward to it. People often worry about age, but I think there is no time in life when you cannot be a mother", she said.

She further also spoke about working with a child artist, "Working with the child actor was an incredible experience. It's so talented and adorable; it felt like I was interacting with my daughter."

Samantha's character in the series, 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' is described as complex and layered. She has mentioned that this role is one of the most challenging she has taken on, allowing her to explore various elements of her character.

The action-drama series is from two timelines 1992 and 2000 and we see Bunny and Honey as they confront the demons of their past while raising a daughter, Nadia. Honey and Bunny played by Samantha and Varun are the parents of Nadia Sinh played by Priyanka Chopra in the original 'Citadel' series.

Meanwhile, Samantha's personal life has made headlines after her marriage to Naga Chaitanya ended in divorce last year. On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is scheduled to wed Sobhita Dhulipala in the coming month of December.
