‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ box office collections day 9: Venkatesh’s family action film mints Rs 178.85 crore

Receiving good reviews from the audiences and critics, the Venkatesh starrer ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ is raking in magnificent numbers at the box office.


According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ has collected Rs 178.85 crores worldwide in just 9 days and the India Net collections amount to Rs 133.75 crore. The India Gross collections for this action family film stand at Rs 151.85 crore and the overseas collections are Rs 27 crore.



The Telugu net box office collections of the film stand at Rs 133.75 crore and on day 9 the film minted Rs 5 crore as per the early estimates from the website. The movie opened with a strong Rs 23 crore at the box office, followed by Rs 20 crore, Rs 17.5 crore, Rs 16 crore, Rs 17.75 crore, Rs 19.35 crore, Rs 8.4 crore, Rs 6.75 crore and Rs 5 crore.


The film is having an exceptional run in North America, the largest market for Telugu cinema outside India. It has grossed over 2.3 million (around Rs 20 crore), already turning profitable for its distributors. Interestingly, ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ was acquired at a relatively modest price, making it a rare project where all stakeholders have secured substantial profits.

Meanwhile, ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ has crossed the collections of Shankar and Ram Charan’s thriller ‘Game Changer’.


Apart from Venkatesh, the movie also features actors Meenakshi Chaudhary, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Upendra Limaye.

On the other hand, Nandamuri Balakrishna's recently released action flick 'Daaku Maharaaj' has collected Rs 113.5 crores worldwide in 11 days.
