Nani’s latest action thriller, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram', continues to make its mark at the box office, maintaining a good presence as it enters its fifth day. Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film has garnered attention for its intense narrative and gripping performances, particularly the showdown between Nani and SJ Suryah, who plays the film’s antagonist.

On its fifth day, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' added Rs 3.25 crore net to its total earnings, bringing its cumulative box office collection in India to a solid Rs 36.75 crore. While the film witnessed a drop in collections on Monday, following a robust weekend, this decline is typical as films transition from weekend to weekday audiences. Despite this, the movie managed to hold its ground, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions.

The film’s occupancy rates reflect this steady performance. On Monday, September 2, 2024, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' saw an overall Telugu occupancy of 29.20%. The evening and night shows, which typically attract more viewers, recorded higher attendance with 34.72% and 32.06% occupancy, respectively. The film’s Tamil version had a more modest 15.55% occupancy, indicating a slightly lesser pull in that region compared to the Telugu market.

Breaking down the box office numbers, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' opened strong on its first day, earning Rs 9 crore. It continued to perform well over the weekend, with collections of Rs 5.85 crore on Friday, Rs 9.15 crore on Saturday, and Rs 9.5 crore on Sunday.

The storyline of 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' follows Surya, portrayed by Nani, a man who channels his anger into vigilante justice every Saturday. His actions lead him into a fierce battle with a corrupt police inspector. The film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and also includes Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh, Aditi Balan, and Harshavardhan, with music composed by Jakes Bejoy.

The film is released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi and has also been released with an alternate name, 'Surya's Saturdays'.
