Prasthanam is a political action drama, which revolves around a rural politician who marries a widow with kids to gains a respectable position in the society trusts his stepson more than his own when it comes to political matters.Thus upsets his son beyond limits. Soon, the truth behind his reality comes forth. The film was remade in Hindi under the same title by Deva Katta, with Sanjay Dutt and Ali Fazal. Directed by Deva Katta, Prasthanam is considered to be one of the most iconic movies of Tollywood.
Sharwanand has come a long way since his initial days. The actor is now one of the finest leading actors in the industry and continues to take on exciting roles. The film which was loved by the people for its rawness, freshness and intensity won three Filmfare Awards and two Nandi Awards.
