Director Sekhar Kammula
has made himself busy in quarantine by helping out the transgender community of Hyderabad apart from the
GHMC workers
.
His work has been lauded by fans who were looking forward to his next film Love Story, with
Naga Chaitanya and
Sai Pallavi. Sekhar Kammula’s last film Fidaa was in 2017 and expectations are super high for this film that is rumoured to be based on dance and caste disparities. While that movie is bankrolled by producer
Narayandas K Naarang
, it has now been confirmed that he has been signed for yet another film with the producer.
Lockdown
due to the novel coronavirus pandemic has left the film industry severely impacted with everyone from daily-wage workers to producers feeling the pinch. Film releases and shoots have come to a complete halt, with theatres remaining shut since before the lockdown. Producers who have completed their films and are awaiting their release have incurred huge losses and
Sekhar Kammula committing to do more than one film with producer Narayandas has been seen as a good gesture.
What’s more, Sekhar Kammula is even preparing a script for the same and planning to rope in a star hero to headline the project. With the director being someone who takes his own time between projects, especially with the shoot for Love Story still in progress, this move came as a surprise to fans. However, what’s clear is that the new film will only go to shoot once Love Story is wrapped up. Buzz is that the film has fifteen days of shoot left and post-production will begin as soon as it’s allowed.
Further details of both this new film and Love Story are awaited.
