’ has been unveiled on YouTube and the movie promises to be a first of its kind road-drama in Tollywood.
The 142-second video starts off with a woman, vexed with the society and her surroundings, going on a
road trip
for a
self-discovery
. The opening shot features her riding a heavy motorbike with the caption “a journey into yourself.” Helmed by actor-turned-director
Praneeth Yaron, Sita On The Road narrates the journey of five young females from different walks of life, who go on a road trip to find their freedom. It’s a realistic take on the problems faced by women in various fields.
Starring actresses like
Khatera Hakimi,
Kalpika Ganesh, Gayathri Gupta, Nesa Farhadi and Uma Lingaiah in lead roles, the film was shot over a span of two years in several locations including coastal Karnataka and Goa.
While the film has got the shades of 2015 Bollywood film ‘
Parched
’, Praneeth Yaron reveals that the five characters in his film are inspired from several real life incidents and people whom we've come across in real-life.
