'Son Of Sardar 2' actress Mrunal Thakur’s must-watch South-Indian films

'​Sita Ramam'

In the Telugu film industry, Mrunal Thakur made her debut and breakthrough with the romantic drama 'Sita Ramam.' Set in the 1960s, the movie stars Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead. It centers on Lieutenant Ram, an orphaned army officer at the Kashmir border, who begins to receive anonymous love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi. The narrative follows Ram's quest to find his mysterious lover and how they ultimately cross paths. 'Hi Nanna' is an emotional and touching story about the lives of a father and daughter. The film, which focuses on the outstanding Nani, features Mrunal Thakur as Yashna (also known as Varsha), who plays the part with effortless grace. The narrative centers on Mahi, a 6-year-old girl with cystic fibrosis who unpredictably develops a unique bond with a young woman who is related to both her and her father.

'The Family Star' is a romantic action movie that was directed by Parasuram and starred Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda. Mrunal Thakur's portrayal of a hot-headed girl was a change from her typical emotional roles in this project. Though the movie didn't receive much praise, Mrunal gave a powerful performance, which was appreciated by critics and audiences alike.

​'Kalki 2898 AD'

Mrunal Thakur made her fourth appearance in Telugu cinema with a cameo in 'Kalki 2898 AD,' which stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. She represents the hope for the revolutionary change the world needs in her brief but powerful role as Divya, a pregnant woman thought to be Kalki's predicted mother. She was hihgly loved for her performance in the film.

Her upcoming projects in the South industry

Following her impressive performances in four South-Indian movies, Mrunal Thakur is all set to further establish herself in the respective industry with two more captivating projects. Her next appearance is in the Telugu action-romance 'Dacoit,' which is presently in production and stars Adivi Sesh. She also landed a significant role in Atlee's high-budget Telugu sci-fi thriller 'AA22xA6.' Both projects should show her cross-genre versatility.
