Sreenu Vaitla gets nostalgic as ''Dhee'' completes 14 years: It taught me so much

and Genelia D’Souza starrer ''Dhee'' completed fourteen years of its release today.

Director Sreenu Vaitla

took to social media to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the movie.

He wrote, ''Dhee has given and taught me so much. It was an everyday challenge. Through perseverance and commitment, we surpassed every hurdle to bring it to you. The love which you have shown is beyond admiration, and I was and will always be thankful to all of you.''

Sreenu Vaitla has also thanked the entire cast and crew of Dhee. He wrote, ''I also thank my cast, crew and every single person who has been a support. @iVishnuManchu @geneliad, my long time dear friend Msnreddy, #Brahmanandam garu @Mee_Sunil @Gopimohan @konavenkat99 #Prasadmurella, #Srihari anna, late Sri Jp garu, late Music director Chakri.''

In November 2020, Sreenu Vaitla had made an announcement that the sequel is very much on cards and it will not be a continuation of the first part. According to Sreenu Vaitla, the sequel, which has been titled Double Dose (DD), will be produced by Vishnu Manchu under his home banner 24 Frames Factory. Gopi Mohan and Kishore are busy drafting the bounded script. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sarvesh Murari and editor MR Varma.

Swara Sagar Mahathi

has been roped in to compose the music for this flick.

in the film became the talking point. He essayed the role of Srirangam Sheshadri Chary, who also works for Shankar.
