‘Subrahmanyapuram’ Trailer: Riveting tale set in a mysterious village

The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Sumanth’s upcoming suspense-thriller ‘

Subrahmanyapuram

’ has been unveiled and the 101-second video looks like an extended version to the intriguing teaser which gave a glimpse of the premise and pivotal characters. Besides the baffling elements, the trailer shows that the film also has action sequences and love episodes.

Sumanth is seen as an

atheist

and a temple researcher who starts to investigate the mysteries going around a temple in Subrahmanyapuram. The background score is quite gripping and the cinematography looks decent enough to make an impact. Directed by

Santosh Jagarlapudi

who also penned the story and screenplay, the film casts Eesha Rebba as the female lead with a bunch of supporting actors in pivotal roles.

Apart from ‘Subrahmanyapuram’, Sumanth has wrapped up shooting for

‘Idam Jagath’

which is also touted to be a thriller. The 43-year-old actor is reprising his grandfather ANR in the most-anticipated

NTR biopic

helmed by Krish. After a series of failures over the years, Sumanth bounced back with the surprise success of his rom-com

‘Malli Raava’

in 2017.
