After a series of failures in the last decade, Sumanth bounced back into form with the surprise success of his rom-com Malli Raava in 2017. After scoring a decent success with Subrahmanyapuram and perfectly reprising ANR’s role in both the versions of NTR biopic, the handsome hunk has finally signed his next film after quite some time.
According to confirmed sources, Sumanth will reprise the lead role in the Telugu remake of Malayalam gangster-comedy Padayottam. The untitled project will be directed by Vinu Yagna and newbie Aima has been roped in as the leading lady. While the shooting is set to kick-off from December 15, the film will be jointly bankrolled by Tammineni Janardhan Rao and Sharma Chukka under East India Talkies and The Manthra Entertainments.
