Though Kissing on screen is not a new thing in world cinema, still, it’s a kind of taboo in Indian regional cinema. There were several instances where films went controversial/ asked to ban or given 'A' certificates for the portrayal of their sensual content. However, there are also enough filmmakers and actors who tried to break this taboo and broaden the audience's minds. Still, kissing on screen is seen as taboo in the majority of Indian households and this issue continues to stand in Telugu movies too until 2020.
Post-Pandemic Telugu movies seem to have overcome this issue and now it seems there are no Telugu films lately in Tollywood without lip locks. Below is the list of Telugu movies that had some Interesting lip locks of the year, have a look at them.

Ram Gopal Varma’s Romantic crime thriller ‘Khatra/ Dangerous’ is an LGBTQ subject that tried to tell the story of two vulnerable young girls due to their family issues and how they end up becoming lesbians. The film has enough lip-locks right from the trailer stage.

With ageing, actor Ravi Teja seems to be becoming more youthful, as every movie of him has one or two liplocks these days. Even the songs in his films are turning out to be more romantic these days.
Ravi was seen kissing Meenakshi Chaudhary in 'Khiladi', he did the same to his actress in 'Rama Rao on duty'. He also locked his lips with Raashi Khanna in ‘Touch Chesi Choodu’, also in films such as 'Power' he kissed Regina, and Rakul Preet Singh in 'Kick 2'.

Ashok Galla's 2022 action comedy film ‘Hero’ by Sri Ram Adithya which was made with specific standards too has a lip lock in the song though not a serious one. The film got mixed reviews for its content and got appraisals for its actor's performances and ended up as an average fare at the box office.

Adivi Sesh’s 2022 film ‘Major’ is made on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who got martyred in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the film had a lip lock in the movie song while narrating the protagonist's romantic episodes with his future wife, Saiee Manjrekar played the female lead in the film. Also, Adivi Sesh’s upcoming movie ‘HIT 2’ featured a lip-lock with Meenakshi Chaudhary in the movie trailer.

2022 Coming of the age romantic drama film ‘Rowdy Boys’ introduced Producer Dil Raju’s nephew Ashish into Tollywood, which featured a couple of lip locks in the film. The film had Anupama Parameswaran playing the female lead in it.

The 2022 romantic comedy film ‘DJ Tillu’ was directed by debutant director Vimal Krishna and co-written by its lead actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda had a couple of lip locks in the movie featuring Neha Shetty as the female lead in the film.

Unlike the other films that have serious smooches, this film had a lip kiss between Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. The film that intended to tell the story of a Palmist is a period romance drama set in abroad and was made grandly with a Pan-India release. However, the film ended up as an average grosser.

Recently released Telugu romantic comedy film starring Allu Sirish, Anu Emmanuel had a rambling lip lock, entering into the list of 2022 Telugu films that had lip locks in Tollywood. In the movie, Allu Sirish was seen kissing Anu Emmanuel in a romantic scene.
