Thunivu/Thegimpu is a Tamil language action heist film that is written and directed by H.Vintoh and produced by Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The film stars Tamil star Ajith Kumar in the lead role while Manju Warrier plays the female lead. Samuthrirakani, Pavani Reddy, Mamthi Chari, Veera, Bagavathi Perumal and others play other supporting roles in the film.
The film talks about a recent Robbery similar to one in Punjab getting into details it talks about Radha, a dreaded gangster who along with his men plans to rob a bank. Later he realizes that another gang led by a mysterious person is on the job already and he also has hijacked its employees. The police team led by their DGP Dayalan is trying to figure out to capture that mysterious person and later realizes that the mysterious person's only motive is not to rob the banks but to tarnish their reputation.
H.Vintoh is collaborating with Ajith Kumar after his Valaimai in 2022. The film is receiving positive reviews both from critics and filmgoers alike. Due to the huge competition among Telugu movies and low promotions by the ‘Tunivu’ makers, the Telugu version is a low-key release with a limited no.of theatres.
