Tejus Kancherla is gung-ho about his debut film Ulavacharu Biryani and quite rightly so, after all, not many actors have the credit for making their debut simultaneously in multiple languages. I must thank
Prakash Raj for all this. Initially, when my uncle KS Rama Rao asked me to meet him, I was quite nervous.
People keep saying that Prakash Raj is shorttempered and all that, but I must confess that hes one of the sweetest person, I have come across.
The conversation lasted for 20 minutes and in the end, he told me that I am going to be the hero in this film in all the three languages, much to my astonishment. I consider him my guru and we are so close that I call him dad, Tejus reveals.
Born and brought up in Hyderabad, Tejus confesses that he went to an acting school in Mumbai a couple of years ago to hone his skills. I worked as an assistant director under Teja before Ulavacharu Biryani happened. After the shooting began, I used to hang out on the sets in Mysore for nearly 15 days, just to observe how everyone was performing.
Almost everyday was like a party on the sets and I had a great time hanging out with both Prakash Raj and Sneha, he says. Ask him what the biggest learning experience from being part of Ulavacharu Biryani was, Tejus confesses, I think I began approaching acting with a lot more dedication and conviction. Besides, I fell in love with cinema a lot more.
