Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy thanks 'Bharateeyudu 2' cast and crew for sharing a PSA on drug abuse!

Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' is all set for its release in theatres on July 12. The film is releasing in theatres in Telugu with the title 'Bharateeyudu 2'. The cast and crew promoted the film in Hyderabad two days back and during the mediainteraction, the actors replied that they are socially responsible and will step forward and work on the initiative suggested by Telangana Chief Minister Revant Reddy on policy against drug abuse.

The Chief Minister requested the filmmakers and the actors to share a small public and social awareness video with the audience and asked them to speak on the period of drugs. The CM stated that if actors come forward to ask the government to not hike the ticket price or get permission for shoot locations, they should also take an initiative to be responsible. Following the press interaction in Hyderabad, actors Siddharth, Samuthirakani and Kamal Haasan shared a video with the state government with them inherently bearing the social responsibility and standing with drug abuse policy initiated by Telangana.



Showing their solidarity and commitment, they praised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for taking up the initiative for a drug-free society. Thanking the actors, the CM took to social media to share the videos and even appreciated the entire team for their commitment in creating the video.

Directed by Shankar, 'Indian 2' is a sequel to the 1996 cult classic drama. The film features Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bobby Simha in lead roles. The music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
