Telugu remake of Pink on the cards?

Taapsee's latest release Pink has been receiving a great deal of acclaim from all quarters. And according to a source in the know, the actress is now keen to remake the film in Telugu and Tamil.
"Taapsee has believed in the project right from the day she heard the script and ever since, she has wanted the film to reach out to a wide audience. With the film performing well and receiving positive reviews, the actress is now keen to ensure it reaches a wider audience," shares a source in the know.
And the actress has apparently discussed the idea with the makers and if she has her way, the remake will happen soon, and she'll be a part of it as well. "Taapsee has got a wide reach in the Tamil and Telugu market and she knows people will watch the film. She believes the story needs to be told and is pursuing it quite strongly," adds the source.
Further details regarding the production house, the director and cast isn't available yet. "It is too premature to discuss that. For now, the discussion is to remake it. Once it's finalised, the rest will be planned," the source informs.
Pink is a courtroom drama featuring the legal trial of three girls who are fighting to bring their abusers to justice.
