Now, the

Telugu

version of the horror comedy will have a direct-digital release on an OTT platform on July 10. A blend of two genres, the film is produced by Dhilip Subbarayan, Arun Balaji and Nandakumar.

Featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Balloon tells the story of a man named Jeevanand, played by Jai, who goes to live at an old house in

Ooty

with his wife, played by Anjali and nephew. He’s an aspiring filmmaker and hopes to find inspiration in the ‘haunted house’ to pen one. When strange things begin happening around the house, how they deal with it and how it’s liked to his past forms the story.

Apart from seeing Yogi Babu, Nagieedu, Joy Mathew and Ramachandran Durairaj in key roles, Balloon also sees a cameo by Raj Tarun and Raja Ravindra. The film sees cinematography by R Saravanan and sound design by Sachin and Sudhakar that are expected to elevate the horror experience.

Anjali has an exciting line-up of films, what with her playing the role of a cop from Seattle called Maha in Kona Venkat, Hemant Madhukar’s multi-starrer

Nishabdham

, which sees Anushka in the lead role and a character called Balatripurasundari in the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit Pink, titled

Vakeel Saab

, which also sees Pawan Kalyan and Nivetha Thomas in the lead roles. She also has Anandha Bhairavi lined up apart from a few Tamil projects.
