'Thandel’ box office collections day 6: Sai Pallavi starrer mints more than Rs 47 crores

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s romantic action thriller Thandel is performing well at the box office, having earned a total of Rs 47.45 crore in India net collections as of Day 6. The film’s impressive box office journey continues as it raked in an estimated Rs 3 crore on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The movie’s first five days saw a strong performance with Rs 44.45 crore, reflecting a positive response from audiences.


According to Sacnilk, ‘Thandel’ had a steady 18.26% Telugu occupancy on Day 6, with notable performances across different show timings. Morning shows recorded a 15.36% occupancy, while afternoon and evening shows picked up momentum with 17.55% and 19.02%, respectively. Night shows saw the highest occupancy at 21.10%.


The movie is getting good reviews from the audiences for the magnificent performances by Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi and also Chandoo Mondeti’s direction style is getting much adulation. ‘Thandel’ received 3.5 stars out of 5 star rating from ETimes and our official review reads, “The dance sequences are choreographed well, adding to the film’s energy, and the action scenes are staged effectively with cinematic appeal. The editing is effective for the most part, but certain portions could have been crisper. Some sequences stretch a bit longer than necessary, affecting the film’s pacing. Production values are high, with meticulous attention to detail in bringing the fishing community’s world to life. Thandel is an engaging romantic action drama that delivers on its promise. While there are moments where the narrative could have been tighter, the film’s decent storytelling, moving music, stunning visuals and brilliant lead performances ensure it leaves an impact.”

The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, is inspired by a real-life incident in 2018 when Pakistani forces captured a fisherman from Srikakulam in international waters.
