Janhvi Kapoor shares intense climax still
The 'Peddi' actor took to her Instagram stories to share a still from the film, where Rashmika Mandanna is seen in an intense climax. In the scene, her character Bhooma breaks free from the toxic relationship with her boyfriend Vikram. She finds her voice and reclaims her identity as a writer by standing up for herself in a powerful moment during a college theatre performance. Janhvi Kapoor shared the picture and called the film a "Mandatory watch".
About 'The Girlfriend'
'The Girlfriend' is a romantic drama directed by actor-director Rahul Ravindran, where Rashmika Mandanna's character is seen to be a college student pursuing an MA degree. She gets into a relationship with Vikram, played by Dheekshith Shetty, which initially looks to be a happy and positive relationship, however, it turns into a toxic and emotionally troubling situation. The film also stars Anu Emmanuel as Durga and includes Rao Ramesh as Bhooma's father and Rohini as Vicky's mother. Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the soundtrack and score.
Rashmika Mandanna's upcoming films
On the work front, Rashmika Mandanna is currently working on her upcoming Hindi film, 'Cocktail 2', sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The movie is currently in the production phase.
On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in 'Homebound'. After making her Tollywood debut with Jr NTR 'Devara', the actress is set to star opposite another 'RRR' star in the upcoming sports action drama, 'Peddi', which is announced to release on March 27th, 2026.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, in the film, Janhvi plays Achiyyamma, Ram Charan's spirited love interest, described as a "firebrand" with a fierce attitude.
