The Raja Saab actress Riddhi Kumar: Box-office results are part of the journey
Though The Raja Saab may not have struck gold at the box office, actress Riddhi Kumar is satisfied with the response she has received for her portrayal of Anitha in the film. She believes that commercial outcomes are only one part of an actor’s larger journey. She says, “As actors, we have to understand that whether a film works or not at the box office is part of the process. One film doesn’t define you or decide your future. These phases are normal in this industry, and it’s important not to dwell on them.”
Riddhi adds that she views every project as a learning experience and prefers to assess her career from a long-term perspective rather than through immediate results. She shares, “You acknowledge the experience, learn from it, and move forward. That’s how growth happens, both professionally and personally.”
What stands out is her confidence in the work she delivered, irrespective of the film’s performance. The actress, who has previously featured in Lover, Radhe Shyam, Salaam Venky and Superboys of Malegaon, says she feels content with how her role was received. She says, “I’m genuinely happy and satisfied with the response to my performance in the film, regardless of the outcome.”
The Raja Saab also stars Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal. Speaking about working with Prabhas, Riddhi describes the experience as professionally enriching. She says, “Working with Prabhas was a valuable learning experience for me. Despite the immense popularity he enjoys, he is very grounded and approachable on set. His calm presence puts people at ease.”
She adds that observing him closely offered important takeaways. “Watching his discipline and screen presence taught me a lot. He is caring towards the people around him, and that reflects in the overall atmosphere on set. I feel grateful to have been part of this film and to have shared that experience with him,” Riddhi concludes.
