'They Call Him OG' pre-release event: Pawan Kalyan praises director Sujeeth; says, 'he is not an ordinary fan'
'They Call Him OG' makers were present at the pre-release event of the film. As Pawan Kalyan made his grand entry, he was joined by director Sujeeth and other stars, including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Mohan, Sriya Reddy and others. During the event, the Power Star praised the young filmmaker, calling him "not an ordinary fan."
At the grand event, which was later disrupted due to heavy rain, Pawan Kalyan, during his speech, praised the 'Sahoo' director. He shared that Sujeeth has been his big fan. He said that, "He is not just an ordinary fan," as he once wore a headband from the movie 'Johnny' for an entire month.
The 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' actor also shared that after Sujeeth's film 'Sahoo' with Prabhas, it was director Trivikram Srinivas who suggested to him that he should work with him. Pawan Kalyan also shared a habit of Sujeeth, that he is not someone who narrates his stories with extensive detail, but shows real strength on sets. "His strength can be seen when he directs," Pawan Kalyan said.
He even applauded the young filmmaker for the idea to appear in his character at the event. He said, "I almost forgot I was the Deputy Chief Minister today because Sujeeth made me feel like Ojas Gambheera."
The actor turned politician, who also serves as the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, also took the moment to appreciate music composer Thaman for his tracks in the film. "This film belongs to Sujeeth and Thaman as much as it does to me," he said.
Pawan Kalyan will be seen playing Ojas Gambheera, a mob boss from Mumbai. Years later he reemerges in the city in order to seek revenge from Omi Bhau, played by Emraan Hashmi.
The film also features Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy and others in key roles.
The film will be released on September 25.
