​‘Amara Deepam’ (1977)

The Eternal Lamp, a Telugu drama film by K.Raghavendra Rao starring Krishnam Raju, Jayasudha, and Murali Mohan in the lead roles. The film is a remake of a 1976 Malayalam film titled ‘Theekkanal’. Krishnam Raju has won the Filmfare award for Best Actor Telugu and Nandi Award for this.

​‘Jeevana Tharangalu’ (1973)


The above drama film by Tatineni Rama Rao stars Sobhan Babu, Krishnam Raju, Vanisri, Chandra Mohan, and Lakshmi playing important roles in the film that is based on Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani’s novel. The was later remade in Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada due to its success and the film has won Three film fare awards Including Best actor for Krishnam Raju.

​‘Krishnaveni’ (1974)


This film directed by V. Madhusudhan Rao for Gopikrishna Movies met with strong critical reception and was a huge commercial success at the box office. The movie is said to be about a lady suffering from hysteria and the emotional trauma of her family. It is a remake of the Kannada hit film ‘Sharapanjara (1971).

‘Bhakta Kannappa’ (1976)

This is an unforgettable movie in his career, based on the life of Shiva Devotee Kannappa Nayanar. And it is a remake of the 1954 Kannada movie Bedara Kannappa starring Kannada superstar Rajkumar. The film is telecast even today on TV channels during the Shivaratri festival times.

​‘Sati Savitri’ (1978)


This Hindu mythological film was directed by BA. Subba Rao starring NT Rama Rao, Krishnam Raju, and Vanisri has its music composed by Ghantalsala & Pendyala Nageswara Rao. The film is based on the story of Savitri and Satyavan.

‘Katakataala Rudraiah’ (1978)

This film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao starring Krishnam Raju, Jayasudha, Ramakrishna and Jayachitra is a huge success at the box office. The film was later remade in Tamil as Pattakkathi Bhairavan (1979) with Sivaji Ganesan and in Hindi as ‘Jyothi Bane Jwala’ with Jeetendra.

​‘Mana Voori Pandavulu’ (1978)

This Bapu film written by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana deals with the feudal system and is a remake of Paduvaaralli Pandavaru by Puttanna Kanagal. The film was later remade in Hindi as ‘Hum Paanch’ with Mithun Chakraborty.

​‘Rangoon Rowdy’ (1979)

This Telugu film by Dasari Narayana Rao stars Savitri, Krishnam Raju, Jaya Prada, Mohan Babu, and Deepa in the lead roles. The film’s music was composed by JV Raghavulu. The film is Krishnam Raju’s 100th film and is said to be the first film shot in Burma.

​‘Sri Vinayaka Vijayamu’ (1979)

This 1979 Hindu mythological film by Legendary Kamalakara Kameswara Rao produced by Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna Murthy stars Krishnam Raju, Rama Krishna, and Vanisri in the lead roles. The film’s music was composed by S. Rajeswara Rao. The film is said to be a major success at the box office.

‘Bobbili Brahmanna’ (1984)

This action drama film by K.Raghavendra Rao was produced under his banner and starred Krishnam Raju, Sharada, and Jayasudha in the lead roles. That has its music composed by K.Chakravarthy. The film is said to be a blockbuster at the box office and won 3 Nandi Awards and Filmfare award south for its success.

‘Tandra Paparayudu’ (1986)

This Biographical war film by Dasari is based on the life of 18th-century warrior Tandra Paparayudu. The film toured several film festivals and won 2 state Nandi Awards. The film was produced under his home banner by Prabhas’s father U. Suryanarayana Raju and Mohan shared the screen with Krishnam Raju in it.

'Bava Bavamaridi' (1993)


This 1993 commercial blockbuster by Editor Mohan and directed by Sarath starred Krishnam Raju, Suman, Jayasudha, and Malashri in the lead roles. The film's music was composed by Raj-Koti. The film is a remake to ‘Pandithurai’ (1992).
