Tholi Prema movie review highlights: So far an engaging and relatable ride

' released today amidst high expectations, thanks to its title.Directed by Venky Atluri and featuring music by SS Thaman, 'Tholi Prema' is the story of Aditya (Varun Tej) and his first and only love, Varsha (Raashi Khanna). While hesitant at first, she falls in love with him soon too. They meet again in college and everything about their relationship is rainbows and roses for a while, until the cracks start showing through.Adi is short tempered, impulsive and an open book whereas Varsha prefers to think clearly and practically, choosing not to let her emotions control her actions. But what happens when they can't deal with their differences, is what the film has showcased so far.The first half sees three songs including the adorable 'Ninnila'. It also sees Priyadarshi play the role of Ravi, but so far, his character had limited scope to perform. Ending the interval on a bang that showcases clearly just how different Adi and Varsha are, 'Tholi Prema' has so far been an engaging and relatable ride. It remains to be seen how the second half will fare.
