Sameera Reddy made her leading lady debut in Telugu cinema with ‘
Narasimhudu
’ in 2005. After romancing
Chiranjeevi in ‘Jai Chiranjeevi’, she reunited with
Junior NTR once again for the 2016 actioner ‘Ashok’. During this time, speculations went rife that Tarak and Sameera Reddy are dating each other and surprisingly, even marriage rumours got circulated in the tinsel town.
However, all these reports turned out to be false with neither of the actors admitting the relationship. After several years, the 39-year-old actress cleared the air regarding her alleged relationship with the
RRR
actor.
Speaking about the love affair, she said “I'm a very friendly and straightforward girl. I'll not try to hide anything. The truth was that it was blown out of proportions because NTR is really a wonderful co-star to work with. He taught me a lot. When I came to Telugu cinema, being a Telugu Reddy girl, I didn't know anything.”
Terming NTR as an introvert during his initial days, Sameera said that their genuine friendship was blown out of proportions. “People were only talking about us. They were not talking about her movies. They weren't talking about what she is capable of. The focus went from Sameera Reddy to Sameera NTR,” she added.
Besides films, Sameera Reddy is a motorcycle enthusiast and during an ad-shoot, she happened to meet automobile entrepreneur Akshai Varde. What started off with chatting about bikes gradually turned into a lovable relationship? After dating for nearly two years, she tied the knot with her boyfriend in 2014 and the couple were blessed with a son in 2015. She chose to quit films after marriage.
