Tollywood drug scandal: Rana expresses his concern over drug abuse in schools

Telangana Excise Department

has served notices to 40 prestigious schools in Hyderabad.


Expressing concern over that fact

’, said, “If a filmmaker or an actor takes drugs, I don’t give a damn. They are adults and they can do whatever they want. They know what they are up for. But what worries me is involvement of school children. It is dangerous and needs to be taken seriously and should be addressed immediately.”


According to reports, students of Hyderabad’s reputed educational institutions are among 1,000 alleged clients who used to buy ‘high-end’ drugs using WhatsApp and other messenger services. Without disclosing the names of the students, principals have been asked to keep an eye on the students. They have also been asked to monitor the shops around the school for potential drug dealers.
