Tollywood pays tribute to the late NTR on his birth anniversary: Everyone from Jr NTR to Chiranjeevi share posts

As today is the 97th birth anniversary of the late iconic actor

, various celebs from Tollywood paid tributes to the legend.

Every year, the Nandamuri family visits the NTR ghat in Hyderabad to pay their respects on this day. However this year, only NTR’s son Nandamuri

Balakrishna

went to the ghat and other family members like Jr NTR and Kalyanram avoided the ghat so as fans don’t crowd and put themselves at risk during the

pandemic

. Tollywood took to social media to reminisce of their beautiful moments with the great actor.

Megastar Chiranjeevi shared a post calling him irreplaceable and wrote, “తెలుగు జాతి పౌరుషం, తెలుగు వారి ఆత్మగౌరవం .తెలుగు నేల గుండెల్లో ఎన్నటికీ చెదరని జ్ఞాపకం. నందమూరి తారక రామారావుగారి కీర్తి అజరామరం. వారితో కలిసి నటించడం నా అదృష్టం. పుట్టినరోజునాడు ఆ మహానుభావుని స్మరించుకుంటూ” (sic). (He is the pride of Telugu people and we will never be able to forget him. He is irreplaceable and it was an

honour

to act with him.) Chiranjeevi and the late NTR acted together in Tirugu Leni Manishi which hit screens in 1981.


Remembering his grandfather, Jr NTR wrote, “మీరు లేని లోటు తీరనిది”(sic) (Your absence cannot be filled by anyone or anything. Dear grandfather, I wish you could come back and bless the Telugu land) Legendary director K Raghavendra Rao who also made classic movies like

Adavi Ramudu

with NTR wrote, “My cinematic journey has had numerous highs! But the biggest honour, even greater than accolades and awards is surely having had the opportunity to work with the legendary NTR garu. I will forever cherish this and consider it my biggest achievement.” (sic)


Actor Mohan Babu also remembered the legend on the occasion and wrote, “మా ఇంట్లో పెద్ద కుమారుడ్ని నేనే.. నాకు అన్నయ్య అనే పదానికి అర్ధం తెలిపిన మహనీయుడు, మహోన్నతమైన వ్యక్తి, మహా పురుషుడు, భారతదేశం గర్వించదగినటువంటి నటుడు, నిర్మాత, దర్శకుడు, ముఖ్యమంత్రి మా అన్నయ్య నందమూరి తారక రామారావు గారు.” (sic) (Though I am the elder son in my home, I used to call this legendary person as ‘Anna’. He is the pride of our country.)
