Telugu actress Krithi Shetty entered the industry through the highly successful romantic drama 'Uppena' in 2021. In the film, she portrayed the character Sangeetha, also known as Bebamma. The movie starred Vaisshnav Tej as the male lead and the acclaimed Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. It centers around the unique romantic tale of Aasirvadham, also known as Aasi, a young Dalit Christian man who falls for Sangeetha, affectionately called Bebamma, the daughter of a powerful Zamindar named Raayanam. In the movie, Vaisshnav Tej portrayed the character of Aasi, while Krithi Shetty played the role of Bebamma. Vijay Sethupathi took on the character of Raayanam.
