Varun Tej got injured a few days ago while preparing for his upcoming movie, ‘Bhari’, backed by his sister
Niharika Konidela’s production banner. The actor had to undergo a minor surgery. Recently, he shared an update on his health via social media.

He took to his Instagram handle to share a post and thanked his fans who shared their concern and support. He further shared that the surgery went well and he is now focused on a quick recovery under the care of doctors. His post read, “Thank you to everyone who reached out with concern and support. It truly means a lot. The procedure went well, and I’m focused on recovery and getting back to full strength.” He further added, “Grateful to my doctors for their care and guidance. I'll be back in action soon… stronger than before. He ended his message with "Love Varun Tej".
Earlier, his sister Niharika Konidela shared that he is safe and being treated properly. She said he is under medical supervision and is slowly getting better. She wrote, “We would like to inform everyone that my brother, Varun Tej, recently sustained a severe knee fracture while practicing volleyball for our upcoming film ‘Bhari’. He has successfully undergone surgery, and the procedure went well. He is currently recovering under medical supervision.”
About ‘Bhari’
Earlier, while speaking with Variety, she shared some details about ‘Bhari’. She disclosed that the film is set to be made on a budget of Rs 60 crore. This makes the costliest film backed by her.
Talking about the film, ‘Bhari’ is a rural sports drama, directed by Yadhu Vamsee and co-directed by Ravi Sankar D. Varun was training hard for his role, which is why he was practicing volleyball regularly.The team is planning for a Sankranti 2027 release.
