Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej Konidela to reunite for Anil Ravipudi's 'Fun and Frustration' franchise: Report

Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej Konidela are teaming up once again for the next installment of their ‘Fun and Frustration’ franchise. According to reports, the script is underway for this collaboration.

A recent report from Pinkvilla suggests that the movie will be directed by Anil Ravipudi, who directed both prequels in the franchise. Producer Dil Raju will bankroll this project, and the film will go on floors next year.

Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej Konidela shared the screen in 2019 for ‘F2: Fun and Frustration’ by Anil Ravipudi. It also featured Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada in female lead roles.


The first film was about two married men trying to take back control of their lives from their domineering wives. However, their chauvinist attitudes lead them into a series of troublesome yet funny situations. The film became commercially successful and garnered positive reviews from critics. The next standalone sequel in the franchise, ‘F3: Fun and Frustration,’ was released in 2022, retaining the main four stars.

On the work front, Venkatesh Daggubati was last seen in ‘Saindhav’ earlier this year. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the movie featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arya, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, and Andrea Jeremiah in key roles.

On the other hand, Varun Tej was last seen in ‘Operation Valentine’ with Meenakshi Chaudhary. It was a bilingual film based on the 2019 Pulwama Attack and the retaliatory Balakot Air Strikes.
