As per a 123Telugu report, Venkatesh is now set to collaborate with filmmaker Surender Reddy on a new project. This partnership comes at a crucial time for Reddy, who faced disappointment with his last release, 'Agent,' starring Akhil Akkineni. Nallamallapu Srinivas is reportedly backing this project, which is expected to be a significant comeback opportunity for Reddy. However, there is no official confirmation on the project's details or start date.

Speaking of his last outing, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam' emerged as a major blockbuster despite facing competition from other big releases like 'Game Changer.'. The movie made over Rs 186.7 crore in India's net collection and grossed Rs 255.2 crore worldwide, as per a trade analyst's Sacnilk report.

The movie follows the story of Yadagiri Damodhar Raju, portrayed by Venkatesh, a former police officer who has retired to a peaceful life in Rajahmundry with his wife, Bhagyalakshmi, played by Aishwarya Rajesh, and their family.

The twist in the story comes when Venkatesh's ex-girlfriend, ACP Meenakshi, played by Meenakshi Chaudhary, knocks at his door to help her in a case. Bhagyalakshmi, suspicious of Raju rekindling his past with Meenakshi, insists on accompanying them. This leads to a series of comedic situations.

The film, which is currently streaming online on ZEE5, within 48 hours of its online premiere, 'Sankranthiki Vasthunam,' became the fastest film to surpass 200 million viewing minutes.
