In an interview with The Hindu, Kishore told the director that he would not play the lead role in the film and asked him to replace him as a supporting character assigned to Satya. But Kishore was clear that he would drop this film if the actor could not come on board.

After two months, Kumar’s wife, Aditi, the producer of the film, convinced the actor with her presentation, which was too tough to say no to.

The actor further added that opting for a lead role requires attending promotion and all. It is impossible since he had several films lined up as a comedian. But as the film was intended to be an OTT release, he agreed, but later they were compelled to go for a theatrical release.
