Tollywood actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was admitted to a private hospital in Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh on Friday after he fainted while he is participating in padayatra.

Ex-CM Nara Chandra Babu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh launched padayatra in Kuppam on Friday, and he is accompanied by several political leaders. Actor-turned-politician Taraka Ratna is also part of the padayatra. Lokesh performed a special puja at Lakshmipuram Sri Varadaraja Swamy Temple before launching padayatra. After walking a short distance, Lokesh joined the prayers in the mosque there. Taraka Ratna also went inside the mosque along with Lokesh. While coming out of the mosque, it appears that Taraka Ratna presumably fainted due to the suffocation from overcrowding.

In a widely-shared video, Taraka Ratna was seen being carried to a hospital by the doctors. He reportedly underwent several tests at the hospital, but the actor’s team has not released an official statement regarding his health yet. Sources say he had no pulse when he was brought to the hospital and his body turned blue. His pulse is back after 45 minutes of treatment. The actor is currently recovering after receiving medical treatment, as per a report by a popular news platform.

As soon as Nandamuri Balakrishna came to know about the matter, he reportedly reached the hospital and enquired the doctors about his health condition. After providing first aid at a nearby hospital, Taraka Ratna is being reportedly shifted to a multispecialty hospital in Bengaluru for better treatment.

On the professional front, Taraka Ratna featured in lead roles in films such as 'Okato Number Kurraadu', 'Yuva Rathna', 'Taarak', 'Bhadradri Ramudu', 'Nandeeswarudu' and 'Eduru Leni Alexander.'
