Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna wedding: PM Narendra Modi congratulates the duo for their 'Divinely scripted chapter'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially congratulated actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna ahead of their wedding which is scheduled for February 26.
In a letter addressed to Vijay Deverakonda’s parents, the Prime Minister wrote, “It is a pleasure to be invited by you to the wedding of Vijay and Rashmika to be held on 26 February 2026. Heartiest congratulations, and greetings to the Deverakonda and Mandanna families on this truly joyous and auspicious occasion.”
PM Modi described the ceremony as the start of a meaningful new journey for the couple. He wrote that the wedding marks the beginning of “a new, beautiful chapter in the lives of Vijay and Rashmika” and highlighted the sacred bond of marriage, adding that the couple, “with the spirit of ‘having taken seven steps together’ become friends for life.”
He added a line that connected widely among fans: “Neither Vijay, nor Rashmika is new to scripts in their films. But this divinely scripted chapter of their real lives, filled with love and affection, will surely outshine the magic they have created on the silver screen.”

The wedding will take place at Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya Udaipur, located on the outskirts of Udaipur. Only family and intimate friends are expected to attend.
The couple confirmed the wedding on Sunday through matching Instagram posts. They wrote, “Our Dearest loves… You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today, with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it, ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us, always. Biggest hugs and full love.”

According to source, the haldi ceremony will take place this afternoon after 12 p.m. The mehendi will follow in the evening between 7 and 8 p.m. The sangeet was held last night as part of the early festivities. The couple is set to exchange vows on February 26.
