Vijay Deverakonda’s spy thriller 'Kingdom' postponed due to THIS reason; find out the new release date

Vijay Deverakonda's highly anticipated spy action thriller 'Kingdom,' directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, has been postponed by over a month due to unforeseen events in the country. Originally scheduled to hit theaters on May 30, 2025, the film's release has now been pushed to July 4, 2025. The makers announced the change on social media, explaining that the current atmosphere and recent developments have made it difficult to proceed with promotions as planned.

On X, through their official handle, the makers shared that their decision was made after careful consideration, with the team expressing their desire to present 'Kingdom' in the best possible way, maintaining the creative excellence and spirit the film deserves.

They wrote, "To our dear audience, we wish to inform you that the release of our film Kingdom, originally set for May 30, has been rescheduled to July 4. We explored every possibility to stick to the original date, but recent unforeseen events in the country and the current atmosphere have made it difficult for us to move forward with promotions or celebrations. We believe this decision will help us present Kingdom in the best possible way, with the creative excellence and spirit it deserves. We truly value your support and hope to receive your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4."


They further added, "We’re grateful to Dil Raju garu and Nithin garu for their understanding and support in making this change possible. JAI HIND!!"

'Kingdom' is a spy thriller that stars Vijay Deverakonda as Suri and also includes Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in key roles. The film marks the first installment of a planned duology.

Filming began in June 2023 and took place across Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kerala, and Sri Lanka. The crew also includes cinematographers Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T. John, editor Naveen Nooli, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
