The pre-release event for the upcoming Telugu film 'Laila,' starring Vishwak Sen, was held in Hyderabad on February 9, 2025, and gained significant attention with the presence of Megastar Chiranjeevi as the chief guest. The event celebrated Vishwak Sen's unique project and also served as a platform for Chiranjeevi to express his support for the young actor and the Telugu film industry as a whole.
According to 123Telugu, Vishwak Sen expressed his admiration for Chiranjeevi, sharing that he was inspired to become an actor after watching Chiranjeevi’s film 'Apatbandhavudu', directed by K. Vishwanath. He said that Chiranjeevi had also known him and his father for a long time and shared a close relationship with them during Chiranjeevi's political career.
Chiranjeevi, in turn, praised Vishwak Sen for his bold film choices and growing career. He even jokingly teased Vishwak about his closeness to other actors like Balakrishna and NTR. He further said that there were no camps in the film industry, and that everyone should support one another to grow together.
In the upcoming film, 'Laila' Vishwak Sen plays a dual role, including a character where he disguises himself as a woman. Chiranjeevi playfully commented on Vishwak's transformation in the film, saying that he looked glamorous and that he felt like hugging him after seeing his female disguise. He praised Vishwak Sen as a "one-man show," acknowledging his ability to write, direct, produce, and act.
The film, directed by Ram Narayan, is described as an action comedy and is slated for release on February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine's Day. The story follows Sonu, a model who disguises himself as Laila, a transgender woman, to escape people seeking revenge. The film has received an 'A' rating for mature content. Check out the
