'Vivegam' makes a whopping Rs 120 crore pre-release business

Thala Ajith starrer yet-to-be-released ‘Vivegam’ has minted big money for its makers. According to latest buzz, the total pre-release worldwide business of the movie has fetched its makers a whopping Rs 120 crore. The movie marks Ajith’s collaboration with Siva for the third time after delivering blockbusters -- ‘Veeram’ and ‘Vedalam’. Thus, anticipation around the movie is quiet high.
The teaser that was released on May 11 became the fastest movie teaser to reach 5 million views within 12 hours, breaking the earlier record of 5 million views in 24 hours set by Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ teaser.
The movie features Ajith as an Interpol agent who is on an international mission. The movie marks Vivek Oberoi’s Kollywood debut in the role of the antagonist. The movie also stars Akshara Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles.
‘Vivegam’ will be released simultaneously in Telugu as ‘Vivekam’. Co-written and directed by Siva, spy thriller has been made on a lavish budget. The movie has been shot against the backdrop of exotic locations around Europe. Anirudh Ravichander has composed music for the film. If rumours are to be believed, that the trailer of the movie will be released on August 17.
