She has acted in several films such as Sri Ramulayya, Samudram, Snehamante Idera and Kalusukovalani. On February 23, 2002, she committed suicide by consuming poison after their family members rejected their marriage proposal. According to reports, Prathyusha was in a relationship with her friend Siddharth and had asked their families for their approval. Unfortunately, their families refused to accept their proposal and this may have led the both to take this drastic step. Both were rushed to the hospital but unfortunately, Prathyusha died due to the poisoning while Siddharth recovered by God’s grace. But Prathyusha’s mother claimed that her daughter was allegedly raped and killed by Siddharth and his friends in a moving car in Hyderabad. The exact cause of her death is still unknown.
