'' had a grand opening today at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad with newcomers under the banner of A7 Pictures. Leading producer Prasanna Kumar switched on the camera while Sagar clapped for the first shot. Veera Shankar was the honorary director of the film. The makers of ''Rakkasi'' held a press conference at the launch event.

Set against the backdrop of drug issues, Rakkasi is a message-oriented movie which is based on the concept of what kind of environment parents are raising their children in. Several senior artists are playing vital roles in the film. We are going to slowly reveal each one character.''
