When Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed she chose cinema as her father could not pay her loan

Samantha Ruth Prabhu has often been open about the pivotal moments that shaped her life. One such revelation came during her appearance on 'Koffee With Karan' Season 7. The actress shared a significant turning point when her father refused to pay off her loans, pushing her toward a career in the film industry.

When host Karan Johar inquired whether acting was always her intended career path, Samantha candidly admitted that it wasn't. She explained that she found herself in a difficult situation at home with limited financial resources. Her father's decision not to support her further education led her to pursue a career in films. “When my father said, ‘No, I can’t pay your loans,’ it was a life-altering moment,” Samantha said.


Samantha also addressed how she copes with life's challenges. During the teaser launch event for her upcoming film, 'Citadel: Honey Bunny', a journalist asked how she manages to stay resilient. Samantha responded with sincerity, saying, “I do give up. I can’t say I don’t, but that’s not the end of the story. I find a way to climb back up.”

On the professional front, Samantha will soon be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the action OTT series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'.
