Who is Telugu comedy actor Fish Venkat? Know why Prabhas and Pawan Kalyan offer financial help for his kidney surgery
Tollywood actor Fish Venkat has carved a niche with his impeccable comic timing in the industry for years, and his memorable appearances in numerous hit films have made him a household name. The beloved actor is grabbing headlines for his deteriorating health condition.
Battling Kidney Failure
Fish Venkat, whose real name is Venkat Raj, has reportedly been suffering from kidney failure for the past nine months. He initially underwent regular dialysis, but his condition took a turn for the worse recently and he was hospitalised in Hyderabad. According to reports, he was placed on a ventilator after doctors confirmed complete kidney failure.
Doctors have informed the family that a kidney transplant is the only viable option left, with an estimated cost of Rs 50 lakh. His daughter, Sravanthi, made a heartfelt plea to the public and the film fraternity for financial and medical support.
She shared in a video, "Daddy is very unwell and in a serious condition. He’s in the ICU and requires a kidney transplant, which will cost us at least ₹50 lakh. Prabhas’ assistant reached out to us and assured us of financial support. They asked us to keep them informed when the transplant takes place so they can cover the cost."
Fish Venkat’s wife revealed that while the pledge of support from actor Prabhas’ team was indeed made, the family has yet to receive any funds or further communication. Meanwhile, actor Pawan Kalyan has reportedly extended Rs 2 lakh in aid.
The Struggle to Find a Donor
The most pressing issue the family is currently facing is the absence of a suitable kidney donor. Due to unspecified complications, no family member is eligible to donate, and a donor is yet to be found. Sravanthi has extended a public request to leading stars like Allu Arjun and Jr. NTR to help in spreading the word and supporting their search for a donor.
