The recent Telugu film 'Agent' was released in theatres on April 298, 2023. The film received a lot of negative reviews and it performed poor at the Tollywood box office. Directed by Surender Reddy, the movie stars Akhil Akkineni, Mammooty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya among others playing the important roles. Taking to his social media handles on May 15, actor Akhil Akkineni shared a apology note to his fans and public besides thanking the crew of 'Agent' and his fans for their support. He explained that he expected a different outcome for 'Agent'; but as it has disappointed many, the actor said that he will learn to do better and come back stronger.
In his heartfelt note, Akhil Akkineni said, "To my dearest fans and my well wishers. I want to sincerely thank the cast and crew of 'Agent' who dedicated their lives to see our film come to life. While we tried our level bet, the film unfortunately didn't translate the way we wished it would on the screen and we could not deliver a good film for you. A special thanks to my producer Anil garu who was my biggest support system. Thank you to all the distributors who believed in our film and also the media who supported us immensely. The love and energy you all give me is the reason I work and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. I will come back stronger for all those who believe in me."
His open letter is getting a lot of support from fans and netizens and many appreciated his approach to acceptance of his movie failure.
