5 celebrities who walked out of highly anticipated Tollywood films

It sure is a herculean task for filmmakers to complete a film and make it reach the theatres these days. Right from selecting the cast and crew to choosing shooting locations for the film, it is no less than a game. Even though they sign contracts with filmmakers, sometimes, some unforeseen reasons make them walk away from the project. In this regard, here we take a look at some celebs who have walked out of ambitious Tollywood projects after signing the dotted line:

Sr NTR Biopic, which is based on the real-life story of Viswa Vikhyata Nata Sarvabhouma Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, was to be directed by Teja and the filming commenced on March 29. However, due to an unfortunate turn of events, Teja walked out of the project and the team is now looking out for a replacement, which could cause a further delay in the start of the ambitious biopic. There are rumours that Mokshagna will make his acting debut with this film. Vishnu Induri in association with Sai Korrapati is producing the film.

Weeks after Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming flick ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ went on the floors, the filmmakers are now on the lookout for a music composer for the project. The original choice, Oscar Award winner AR Rahman had reportedly walked out of the project due to some unknown reasons. Young heartthrob SS Thaman is said to be the frontrunner for the project now. However, things have not been finalised yet. If Thaman comes on board, it will be his first outing with Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Tamannaah Bhatia has reportedly walked out of a Telugu film, the remake of Hindi film ‘Queen’, which is being directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker G. Neelakanta Reddy, better known as Neelakanta. It has been reported that Neelakanta was apparently unhappy with Tamannaah coming on board and walked out of the project with the official confirmation. The movie is being simultaneously remade into Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada with various actors, and all the three versions of the film have music by Amit Trivedi.

Cinematographer-to-be Sai Sriram is said to have walked out of the project by Usha Mulpuri of Ira Creations. The film stars Naga Shaurya in the lead. Sai was allegedly fed up with the hero for his involvement in the script of the film. The young actor’s overindulgence could have possibly caused great discomfort to the director. Nijar Shariff has apparently replaced Sai Sriram and has started shooting for ‘Nannu Vadili Neevu Polevule'.

Harshvardhan Rane is one of the talented young actors in Tollywood. He made his debut with the 2010 film ‘Thakita Thakita’ directed by Sreehari Nanu and produced by Bharat Thakur in collaboration with Bhumika Chawla. Buzz is that the 34-year-old actor has walked out of the Shreedhar Seepana directorial ‘Brindavanamadi Andaridi’, co-starring Richa Panai. The film that was supposed to go on floors from March onwards, has now got delayed. The apparent reason stated was that he was uncomfortable with the production.
