They never made it official but Raj and Mimi's relationship remained an open secret in the industry. The noted director and charming actress were going smooth and just when everybody was waiting to hear 'I do', the breakup news came as a shocker. Despite keeping their relationship under wraps, the pair didn't hesitate to declare ‘I quit’ publicly. Raj alleged it on Mimi's affair with her Turkish friend but Mimi denied everything, insisting it was just a misunderstanding.

After a controversial separation with her husband, Swastika Mukherjee’s first film was opposite superstar Jeet and the new Jodi became a hit instantly. They were the talk of the town within a few days. Termed as the hottest couple of Tollywood then, they would often be seen together partying wild and attending late night shows.
