Tollywood which is one of the richest and most flourishing film industries of the country is also a hub of controversies. Few actors come into limelight for their controversial behaviour or statements while others become victims of controversies. Kajal Agarwal

Kajal Agarwal was in news for her topless cover photo on FHM magazine in 2011. This photo of Kajal Agarwal had stirred up lot of controversy. But when the controversy heated up, Kajal Agarwal denied clicking such picture for the magazine. According to filmibeat.com, the actress stated that she doesn’t need to do such sh** and she is not even open to bikini scenes so it is impossible for her to pose nude for any photoshoot. She blamed the magazine for morphing her photo that was used as the magazine’s cover photo. She even said that she never gave any interview for the magazine. As reported by ibtimes.com, immediately after Kajal’s denial of nude photo and interview with the magazine, FHM magazine issued a statement saying that the photo is real and they’ve never morphed the photos of any celebrities. The magazine also clarified that Kajal had given them an interview and they can even release the full untouched raw pictures of Kajal on the internet.

Akkineni Nagarjuna

In 2011, Akkineni Nagarjuna was in news for his violent and abusive behaviour with a freelance journalist Sunita Chowdary. It was allegedly reported that Akkineni Nagarjuna abused the journalist using vulgar and derogatory words when she visited Annapurna studios to cover Nagarjuna’s upcoming film Damarukam’s shooting. According to a report by teluguone.com, the actor abused the journalist and even threatened to kill her because she wrote an article against him long time back. Sunita Chowdary even filed a case against Akkineni Nagarjuna and the actor was charged under IPC section 506 and 509 for his abuses and for intimidating a woman.

Siddharth

Siddharth made a controversial statement on Telugu audience when his movie Something Something did not perform well in the year 2013. The same movie when remade in Tamil as Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru, starring Siddharth himself as the lead, became a hit. As reported by apnewscorner.com, it was during the success meet of Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru that Siddharth made some controversial statements on the Telugu audience saying they are interested to watch only few big heroes’ movies and love stories only. He also stated that they don’t like watching good movies and prefer to watch mass masala movies again and again. Siddharth also commented that Bollywood has no respect for Southern stars and stated that Kollywood is much better than Bollywood and Tollywood. Such nasty comments from Siddharth did not go down well with his Telugu fandom and he got into the bad books of many Tollywood megastars.

Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun was in news in the year 2014 for a drink and drive incident. Arjun received lot of criticism from his fans when a video in which he was seen arguing with the policemen was released online. The video showed that Arjun skipped the drink and drive test and was arguing with the policemen. According to gomolo.com, Arjun later clarified on his Facebook page that when the police asked the actor to blow in the breath analyser, he felt uncomfortable as all the cameras were at him. He also posted that he took the test later and the police allowed him to leave. He felt disrespectful that the video was represented in such a wrong manner which created negativity.

Ram Charan Teja

Ram Charan Teja came into bad light in the year 2013 when news about him manhandling two civilians spread as fire. As reported by gomolo.com, Ram Charan Teja manhandled two people for not making way for him at a traffic signal. A case was also registered against the actor at Banjara police station at Hyderabad. Later, the actor clarified that the images shown by the media were morphed to show him in bad light. He stated that the two people involved did it to grab his attention and later apologized. After complete enquiry about the incident, the police didn’t lodge a complaint against the actor and thus the actor was saved from falling into any legal trouble.
