Portugal is the hot new film destination
Portugal has emerged as one of the hottest destinations for our filmmakers. Ravi Teja’s Balupu was one of the first Indian films to be shot in Portugal in 2013. Nearly a dozen films have been shot in the southern European nation ever since. Nagarjuna-Rakul-starrer Manmadhudu 2 and War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff are the latest films to have been shot in the backdrop of breathtaking landscapes of Portugal.

And it’s all thanks to one man, Rengarajan Jaiprakash aka JP, the line producer for both Manmadhudu 2 and War.
“Our company, All Around Globe LDA, assists Indian filmmakers who want to shoot in Portugal. We have worked extensively with the Portugal government and Instituto do Cinema e Audiovisual, the Portuguese national public film agency, and devised attractive tax incentive schemes for Indian films. Portugal now offers up to 30 per cent rebate for movies filmed there, which can be redeemed through us. Our team of professionals have enabled several Indian filmmakers to shoot in Portugal without any hassle,” says JP, who also got a thumbs up
from Tollywood star Akkineni Nagarjua recently. “Thank you JP and team for another smooth shoot. Catch up soon...” the star had tweeted after wrapping up the Portugal schedule of Manmadhudu 2.
“Portugal is like heaven on earth, with stunning natural beauty and vibrant, energetic towns and cities. I hope to see more films being shot here,” says JP, signing off.
